God called us to be good care takers and stewards of our lives and world.
He did not just say be good with your finances or to only work had at your job. No, He said to be a good steward and to do everything in a way that brings praise to Him.

Colossians 3:17
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:23
23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
