Last post I talked about how so many people claim to be sold out, today we continue this study by picking up where we left off:
Here is what the Word of God says about the lukewarm church:
Revelation 3:14-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
To truly become men and woman of submission we must first work on our integrity.
Integrity is what is done when others are not looking. We have to get to a place where no matter what God asks us to do, we just do it. We must become people of intentional living for Christ. Not holding back even when no one else is around, even when the request He makes is uncomfortable or inconvenient.
This could mean for some that one day God may ask you to turn off the TV and focus on Him. For others it could be video games or the internet, and for others it could be a removal of social media or consistent texting form their daily lives, so they can be more focused on Him.
When we cannot even surrender small things it makes it impossible for Him to trust us with the greater. See when we are asked to remove something or reduce its time in our lives and we say; but God, I want to see how the plot continues in the continuation of this show, I am so into it and really need to see how it plays out. Or when we say; but God, I need to see how my friends are doing and that everyone is ok. But God, it’s just entertainment, and playing video games relaxes me. It helps the stress of life to melt away from a hard day and school or work. Then we have set ourselves up higher than God. Making ourselves king of our lives.
Now let’s think about and meditate on this for a while. Is God the most important aspect of your life? If so, ask yourself, have I allowed anything to get in the place of where God is calling me to?
This is the end of part 2 of Sold Out, if this has touched you then please contact me and let me know. We will continue this study a little more, till then.
